The course of Hanson's musical career to this point has spanned an evolution from complex, heavy and heady punk/prog/math rock compostions in early brands, into the matured post-rock and high-energy pop of Mines. Now, as Field Notes, Hanson strips away much of the complexities and flashy green of his past bands to reveal the common thread behind his music making.
